When Yeshua Was Asked How To Pray

Written by:

Learning how to pray is important when you want to get something done. Understanding why prayers are granted in the first place is critical or else your time and efforts may be wasted.

The Universe hears your groans and petitions. A specific name of any God is not necessary, just send your inner desires out into the Universe. If you have the Spirit of God in you, this Holy Spirit will petition on your behalf.

Hope is not everything, neither is faith when it comes to prayer. The most important states of being in prayer are Love, Humility, and Gratitude.

Given that God lives outside of time, for Him, there is no future, or past; only an ocean of now, if it happens in your future, you have already received it.

Then say “Thank You” to God, as you have already received it, even in your future!

I AM listens and helps you put your prayer into action.

If it aligns with His good, your request will be granted; but not always in the way you wish.

For example:

If you pray for patience, He may send you opportunities to practice patience.

If you pray for forgiveness, He may send you people to forgive.

For gaining an understanding of what God’s greater good is, I highly recommend reading the chapter of Romans 12.

And an important excerpt on how to pray from Romans 8:

In hope, we already have salvation; in hope, not visibly present, or we should not be hoping – nobody goes on hoping for something which is already visible.

But having this hope for what we cannot yet see, we are able to wait for it with persevering confidence.

And as well as this, the Spirit too comes to help us in our weakness, for, when we do not know how to pray properly, then the Spirit personally makes our petitions for us in groans that cannot be put into words;

And he who can see into all hearts knows what the Spirit means because the prayers that the Spirit makes for God’s holy people are always in accordance with the mind of God.

Romans 8:24-27

If motions to your desires are not moving fast enough, keep acting, but keep petitioning.

Keys will be provided; doors will be unlocked.

A parable told by Yeshua:

Then he told them a parable about the need to pray continually and never lose heart.

‘There was a judge in a certain town,’ he said, ‘who had neither fear of God nor respect for anyone.

In the same town there was also a widow who kept on coming to him and saying, “I want justice from you against my enemy!”

For a long time he refused, but at last he said to himself, “Even though I have neither fear of God nor respect for any human person,

I must give this widow her just rights since she keeps pestering me, or she will come and slap me in the face.”’

And the Lord said, ‘You notice what the unjust judge has to say?

Now, will not God see justice done to his elect if they keep calling to him day and night even though he still delays to help them?

I promise you, he will see justice done to them, and done speedily. But when the Son of man comes, will he find any faith on earth?

Luke 18:1-8

The Our Father prayer.

During his Sermon on the mount, recorded in Matthew 5 and 6, the ‘Our Father’ prayer was taught to Yeshua’s listeners as to instruct his followers, how to pray.

Abbreviated:

“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be thy name;

Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done,

As in heaven, so on earth.”

I’m not going to rehash the entire Lord’s Prayer as straight out of the Matthew or Luke, because I have something different in mind for you.

In ‘The Wisdom Codes’ by Gregg Braden, Gregg translates an intriguing version found in handwritten Syriac, one of the languages the people of Israel used at the time.

This appears to be a much earlier version of the Our Father prayer. I believe it better captures the meaning and power of the prayer.

“Oh Birther/Father/Mother of the cosmos, you create all that moves in light.

Focus your light within us, make it useful, as the rays of a beacon show the way.

Create your reign of unity now though our fiery hearts and willing hands.

Your one desire then acts with ours as in all light so in all forms.

Grant what we need each day in bread and insight, subsistence for the call of growing life.

Loose the cords of mistakes binding us, as we release the strands we hold of others’ guilt.

Don’t let us enter into forgetfulness,

But free us from unrightness.

From you is borne all ruling will, the power and the life to do the song that beautifies all from age to age, it renews.

Truly, power to these statements, may they be the source from which all my actions grow.

Sealed in trust and faith, Amen.”

Gregg Braden, “The Wisdom Codes”
