Occupying forces, the Roman Empire, enforced worship of Caesar, deifying him, literally teaching the masses that Caesar was immortal God.

Rome also already had a habit of rewriting history where they occupied, erasing the locals’ history and enforcing a new narrative. After victory, they encouraged their conquests to occupy, then Rome came in after an built aqueducts, roads, baths, schools, etc, and REINFORCING worship of Caesar as God.

So back as early as 2nd century BC, when Greco-Roman forces occupied Israel/Judea, they were angry that Jews were staunchly loyal to the worship of their Holy God, God of gods, and the teachings that no man or Elohim could be above. How dare these infernal children of Israel have organised religion and loyalty to an invisible God!

So they tried to beat the practice out of them, forbidding the utterance of his Name, and the practice of their religion, under penalty of death. This turned into the Maccabean wars.

The Judeans prevailed, and so they continued their worship.

Rome HAD to come out on top though. They saw the power of this people’s religion and Holy God, and decided they should use it to conquer the European masses. So they again ordered of the Jews, fealty to Caesar, or death, as they crucified like 50,000 jews who refused to comply, plundered their 2nd temple (70 AD), and destroyed Jerusalem.

Over the years the scattered Jews who were exiled, remembered the true history, which greatly differed from the one that the now “Holy Roman Empire.”Orthodox Jews refused to kneel, causing the Romans ongoing headaches for 2 millennia.

So the Jews were hated.

Similar story of the Islamists, desiring control above all else.

Jews stood out as the ones who refused to kneel to any God but Yahweh.
