Truth (or Light) must burn brighter than darkness for faith, hope, and love to win against pride, lust, and individual power.
The adversary knows there is power in unity so they do their best to hide knowledge (or to provide fake news) and sow fear to divide and conquer. Attempts at unity will be laughed at by selfish, angry people.
22The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good,d your whole body will be full of light. 23But if your eyes are bad,e your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
24No one can serve two masters: Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
Matthew 6:22-24
Not saying all rich are selfish, as some give a lot of their means, but what but what selfish people need to learn, when they revel saying the the world is better run by money and people with money, they need a reminder that Love, Truth and Light uphold and benefit ALL people.
Laws based on ethics and morality are what the world GAINED from the Judean historical texts, before and even after Israel was wiped out, even if these laws became rebranded as “Christian”.
Providing for those who cannot provide for themselves is a requirement for all. Elderly, infirm, widowed, orphans or children of one-parent families, foreigners, and prisoners, must be treated with dignity.
Many poor, disabled, infirm people and disadvantaged children survive on government support funded by taxes, and food banks funded by civilian donations.
Yet how many rich think the moneyless people do not deserve charity or medical treatment, judging them as lazy and undeserving, not their responsibility?
Those who know starvation hate to see others starve.
Those who recover from illnesses like to help others recover.
So, they joy of giving usually can be learned by observing the poor with each other. Those with little often give much more, living on little, than those in opulence, especially percentage-wise.
Finding the majority of value in things money CAN’T buy, like meditation, mindfulness, appreciation of beauty, joy, inner peace and forgiveness, can be a testament to humanity that generosity of money isn’t even the highest gift you can give.
Fruits of spirit are
“…love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness, and self-control.”
Galatians 5:22,23
While according to God, giving of our own means is required by all humans, these fruits or gifts of the heart that anyone can give cost nothing and are appreciated by anyone, bringing fulfillment to anyone, rich or poor.
So bless others, and become blessed.
